SOCCER- the never ending season...

Tanner plays on JV - which is good since he is a freshman. (He's the one in white with his foot in the air, in case you wondered). He has played every game for most of the game. They went to GJ last week and play Farmington twice this week. They are both away games. He is doing great.

Riley is on Varsity....which is good and bad. (He is the one in orange)l He loves it but he has hardly played. So the last two JV games he has helped them out and played most of those games. They only have three subs so they have needed him. He lives for soccer!
What can I say-I wish all coaches were fair..... never happens!

BACK TO SCHOOL- Sept 2nd

They all had to be up to be at early morning Seminary by 6:30 am. It has been non-stop since. With Seminary, School, and Soccer. Tanner was amazingly awake for the first day but I think it has been very exhausting trying to keep up with it all.

Shayli has been busy with her hard classes and being Junior Class President. She got her drivers license yesterday. She is excited to get to drive to school. :)
(Good for her more grey hair for me!)

As for Riley, you can tell he was so thrilled to be awake so early. He would rather sleep in! He should be pumped since he is a Senior. He is still getting some of his classes situated but I think he is going to have a fairly easy year- class wise.

2007 What a Year!

Riley's Eagle Court of Honor was on January 27th. He was excited and emotional. It was a great evening and we are so proud of his accomplishment. We appreciate all of the help he was given with all of his scouting. Thank you to all of those who attended and made it such a special night!

This was our amazing trip we took to Hawaii. We went there the last part of March and the first part of April for 12 days! It was so much fun and no one wanted to come home. This was on Oahu at the Temple there. It was so lush and green and the grounds are beautiful. We also visited BYU Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center this same day.

This was also on Oahu, it was at the Punch Bowl with Waikiki behind us. The kids thought this was pretty cool.

This was on the Big Island- our last Island. On Easter Sunday we spent time with the President and Sister Veloria. They are amazing people who feed us an awesome meal! They took us into their home and made us feel so welcome! He was the Bishop in this area when Glen served his mission back in 1978.

This was at Haleakala National Park on Maui. There were so many neat things to see. This was the entrance. You actual travel up a winding road that takes you above the clouds where was saw all of these amazing Volcanoes and views.

Body surfing on the Maui. Glen and the kids had so much fun. They loved the beaches and body surfed or went snorkling! We whale watched (at least I did). We also went to a Sugar Cane Plantation. It had the most beautiful beaches!

This was on Oahu also. The Arizona Memorial on one of our first days there. We had a great time and also toured the Missouri Battleship. After that we picked oysters for pearls. The kids had a blast. They all have pearls from Hawaii.

This was also at the Arizona Memorial. You can see it behind us. It is one of the few pictures we have with all of us in it. As you can tell it was sunny and bright (thus we are squinting!) The memorial was so peaceful and it was amazing to see the ship just below the surface of the water.

Tanner's Eagle Scout Court of Honor was on November 9th. Tanner was so excited to get this because he worked hard. He was only 13 1/2 when he earned his Eagle- which is neat. It took a little while to get everything together for the actual Court of Honor. He loves Scouts and plans to get as many merit badges as possible. He currently has 51 (as of Sept 2008).
This is just a brief look at last year. I started the blog then but didn't do much with it. After seeing several blogs I have gotten really motivated to keep up on this so I can share it with my extended family! That is why I went back through 2007 to highlight some important events. It has been fun!
